Spot cleaning a mattress

Has anyone done this? Any suggestions?

My mattress is a pillow top...

I read on the back of the borax for a suggestion.. not sure if you use that....

I have... we have a pillow top too...

I just use a little soap & water in a spray bottle - I spray it on, rub the spot with a washcloth, and keep doing this 'till it's clean - I try not to get it too wet, but also will do it in the AM, that way it's dry by bedtime! If it gets a little too wet, you can point a fan at it to help it dry. If it's a smelly spot you can use some baking soda... and I even used bleach & water once (sparingly) and it was OK. :shrug
