pssst...anyone want some tomatoes?

we've had frost warnings for the last few nights, so I had to strip the garden. August was chilly here, so most of my tomatoes are still green, as are the peppers (supposed to be red and yellow ones).

Here's my back stairs right now. For reference, one box held 20 lbs of peaches, another 15 lbs of pears. It's a lot of green tomatoes. there is also a honeydew in there, and my youngest child's leg.

I love fried green tomatoes. I only got ONE stinkin' red tomato off my plant this year - the darn squirrels got the rest :doh

Those will turn red eventually, right?

yep, they are turning red as we speak! It looks like a new red one each time I pass the boxes, and my cherry tomatoes (not even IN that pic) are getting red, red, red.
