I have three boys and some days the noise is too much. I realize that I really help set the mood. Like at dinner time I often turn off the lights and we eat by candlelight. There is less complaining and it really starts a nice calming bedtime routine.

So, what are your calming tricks for day, night, whatever...those times when you you hear all the noise and realize everyone is just running around all loud and crazy.

Sit on the couch with a snack and listen to some music.
