I had a group over here today & none of us noticed right away when two of the 2 y/o's switched from the dry erase side to the chalkboard side of my easel. They wrote all over the chalkboard side with the dry erase markers. I don't use the chalkboard side that often, but I would like to clean it up. Any ideas that won't ruin my chalkboard?
Do you have one of those Mr Clean Erasers? I'm always surprised at what they can get off.

Alcohol should get it off. I saw a recommendation on a website for using a liquid, non-oily hair spray. And the magic clean sponge, which worked on our walls, by the way, but needs to be done gently on a chalkboard, to keep from damaging the paint. You can rinse the white residue away.

If worst comes to worst, you might be able to find a littl container of chalkboard paint, but I sure hope the rubbing alcohol works! I think acetone is actually preferred (nail polish remover), but I'd test a little corner first. I've only used it on the white side of the board.
