We used to get organic Valley brand but its harder and harder to find. The local HF store has this. Anyone know anything about the company? Its labeled as Straus Family Creamery and comes in glass bottles.

They have an "excellent" rating on the Cornucopia Institute survey :grin :tu

There's more info on the site:

Thanks Punkie I was looking for that chart :). I read this
This is milk the way it used to be, with the cream on the top.
Our cream-top whole milk is not homogenized so the cream floats to the top.

All of our milk products are pasteurized at 170F degrees for a total of 19 seconds, about the same temperature as a nice toasty cup of hot chocolate. Unlike most organic milk (which is ultra-pasteurized at 280F degrees for 2-4 seconds), you'll really taste the true flavor of our cows diet. Our grasses tend to be sweeter because of the salty ocean air out here in northern Marin. First thing you'll notice when you pop the top of our milk is the beautiful aroma. But, please don't be afraid, milk is supposed to have an aroma and a distinct taste!! Enjoy.

Its not raw milk (not avaiable here) but I like that this isn't the ultra pasturized stuff eaither. I'll have to try some and see.

Cool. Organic Valley got a 4 cow rating, which is what I prefer to buy since it's easy to find around here. Or, it was. I'll have to check again now that we've moved..

Hmm, I just noticed that the Organic Pastures raw milk co. is in Fresno. I forgot about that.. think they'd let me come and visit?? :)
