Does beer have Gluten?

An aquitance with Celiac Disease meantioned she liked a good beer. Didn't think much about it them (it was part of a whole silly stream of thought conversation) but now I'm :scratch I though beer contained gluten?

yep beer has gluten. ask my poor hubby who couldn't even drink red stri[pe in jamiaca. we have found gluten free beeer but they are horribly expensive ($13 for a 6pack) so you don't really wanna do it too often.

I did NOT know that, even Earth Fare doesn't have gf beer around here! I'll have to check it out!
