View Full Version : A natural equivalent to Ovaltine?

DD#2 had a dairy intolerance that she has outgrown but now she doesn't care for the taste of dairy. I had thought about mixing it with Ovaltine but Ovaltine has so much "other" stuff in it. Does anyone make a natural version of it that you're aware of?

I drink a store bought German brand of ovaltine type drink, but I think it has all the same stuff in it. I'd be more inclined to make cocoa from real chocolate to entice your dd to drink milk. :shifty That is what did it for ds, with gradually less and less chocolate added.

i let my dc have chocolate soymilk or ricemilk...we don't offer dairy....but the soymilk and rice milk don't have all the other added junk and it gives them the fun of chocolate milk for occasion

You could try carob powder.

Hmm, maybe I'll try the carob. I'm trying to slowly get her to accept milk especially as she begins to self-wean day by day.
