I planted sunflowers for the first time since I was a kid. Fun!
Anyway, the flower heads are full of seeds now, just drooping over, very heavy. I really want to plant some bulbs where they are right now. The seeds are still soft--not hard yet. Can I cut the flower heads off and lay them in the sun to dry, or do I have to leave them attached to the plant?
