I am so excited with what i just figured out! I've been making those no-sew fleece blankets with the 2 layers, where you fringe the ends and tie them together.
Well, you can do the same thing for a Bible/book cover. I actually recycled (dh says destroyed :lol) an old fleece shirt that was going to goodwill, and I fit one piece of fleece on the outside of the bible, leaving extra inches for the fringe. then, i used the sleeves to get enough material for the inside flap, and made it to match the size of the outside flap....cut the fringe evenly, tied it up, and wah-lah....a cover! (You can also add strips into the fringe to make a tie-closing for the cover)
I think if i do this again, i'll use a bigger piece of fleece, and have the flap going all the way inside the bible so that the fringe is just on the top and bottom and not on the sides of the opening.
