Windows XP Home?

Ok i feel like a computer noob but i haven't ever bought an operating system. the uh... version on our computer right now is a little less than legal... anyways we want to upgrade to windows xp home but i'm very :scratch about the prices. i find windows xp home OEM for less than 100 dollars, but windows xp home with SP2 for 200! i looked up oem and it made it sound like that's what it would be if you bought a computer system, but the sites i was seeing was selling it separately so i'm :scratch and :shrug if i can get xp for less than 100 that would be great, but i dunno

ok i think i figured it out. OEM is the "no frills" version - doesn't come with bundled software, may have less features than the "full" version but would be "good enough" in most situations. it's a moot point tho cuz DH went and got the whole version :giggle oh well at least we have a legal os now! :D
