Baby washcloths? I'd like to make them for the outreach group I coordinate in our parish, but I can't seem to find the right kind of terrycloth. Everything I've seen at Joanns & Wal-Mart is too rough, if you know what i mean? I need to find the really soft, knit terrycloth like the gerber washcloths are made of.

Anyone know a source for this? TIA :highfive

I've always had wonderful service from fabric.com - I've never been disappointed and if for some reason I am - you can return it for free within 30 days :tu

Hmmm. . . . . you wanna sew them, right? 'Cause cotton knitted or crocheted ones are nice and soft too.

A soft fleece is really nice, too :)

I was thinking of buying fabric & then cut it into maybe 8"-9" squares & surging the edges to make washcloths. Thinking that I could get about 20pcs per yard by doing that & it would certainly be cheaper than buying pre-made washcloths, kwim?
