What can you plant in a dry, partial shaded area? I have tried several plants and they just don't make it.

You don't mean dry as in Arizona, right? What did you try? I would think perhaps some common dayliles would handle dry and a part sun location. Or Sedum (they look pretty in the fall). Those are perennials. Are you interested in annuals for this location? Perhaps marigolds?

Aloe would be a good plant for dry area.

Check out this website.

They have a much bigger live plant selection in the spring, but they are based in NM, where it is dry, with cold winters and warm summers. Lots of good info, and they also reply to emails quickly. :)

Nandinas work well with dry and shade. The only problem is I believe their berries are poisonous if eaten. :shrug

brown-eyed susan, daylilly, lavender.

check out directgardening.com and look under perennials. They have some that do very well in dry soil.

Lantanas seem to do pretty well.

Oops! :giggle Thought I read through them all, but I guess I missed the last one!
