So, I'm guessing that the yarn starts light green at the beginning of the skein and gradually turns dark green :shrug where do you buy yarn like that??

Actually, my guess is that the soaker was dyed after it was made.

Yeah, I'd guess it was dip-dyed as a finished garment.
