We are flying out of LAX today. I want to take my knitting project with me but I want to make sure they are not going to see my knitting needles as weapons. We will be gone for 5 days. I need something to do. My dh said he thought he saw a woman (the last time he flew) knitting away on the plane :scratch
Can you take knitting needles on a plane now??

unless they changed it in the past 2 years then yes. i took knitting needles with me and was surprised it was allowed because they were the size 2 knitting needles LOL. i think those would be more dangerous weapons than a lighter LOL.

:laughtears Thats funny!

What if they are double pointed needles? I have the aluminum needles, from what that site said they have to be plastic. I don't know where to find plastic needles. :shrug

well i think that was like an editorial link, not an "official-you-must-have-this" article (i might have missed that part if so sorry!) \

when i took mine on the plane they were metal, i don't have any plastic knitting needles.

I'll pack them along with a self addressed envolope for just in case. I decided to knit a cap for the baby, so I'll start that when I land so if they don't allow the needles I won't :jawdrop if they say I can't take them along.
Thanks everyone.
