Any Ideas?
Since we know that we are probably having a girl. I want to do something with my (21 month old) son's receiving blankets. I was thinking about making a quilt for memories. One catch..............I've never sewed before, I did once at my Jr high home EC. class. My mom has a sewing machine I can use.
Will I need any supplies or patterns?

If you do something like a "raggy" quilt, you'll only be sewing straight lines and big squares -- very simple. I'll have to see if I can find a link with instructions for you....

Okay... here's are several images of raggy quilts so you can see what I'm talking about. It's made of large squares that are sewn together with the seams on one side. Then the seams are snipped so that when the quilt is washed and dried, they fray to make a soft border. The ones I've seen had an X sewn across the squares to stabilized the batting.

Great! Thank you, I'll chech them out. I just hope I have enough time for all this. I have so far 3 projects I have to make before this little one is born.
