Big Feelings?

Hi, I'm knew here, so I apologize if I'm putting this question in the wrong place.
I keep reading about 'big feelings' and I'd love to know more about that concept. Is there somewhere I can go for more info?

Big Feelings are just that.... and they show up in our toddlers and preschoolers as tantrums and meltdowns and in our older children as slamming doors or throwing things. When putting GBD into practice we validate these "big feelings" and then work with our children on expressing their big feelings in more appropriate ways. That's it in a nut shell anyway.

I'm sure we have more posts on it... I'll see if I can dig some up for you.
