Alrighty, so it's been a few days since I posted about DD and...well, her toddlerism. ROFL. I also picked up Grace Based Discipline (although I'm keeping in mind that at the end he speaks of spanking, right--I'm capable of omitting that part). So far I am LOVING what I am reading. It's really opened my eyes, too, especially when he speaks of the little boy at the hotel and the breakfast buffet. That is SO me with Hope already (making BIG deals out of stuff that doesn't matter). http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b149/kacielyse/Smilies/idea.gif The past two days I've really been focusing on redirecting, not making a big deal out of stupid stuff (taking her socks off, only having one sock on, walking in public instead of being in the stroller--especially when DH is with me to help, etc), and just being a little more laidback. Cha-ching! So the lightbulb came on. I'm excited, also, because DH and I had a conversation about the book on the way home from NYC (day trip w/ brother who was in from TX for spring break) and he said if I record myself reading it, he'll listen to it! He LOATHES reading, but enjoys listening to sermons and such in the car...this could SO work (he won't do the research himself, but is very opinionated...so I'm excited). Thank you ladies for being so patient with me the other day. I also mentioned the comfort corner to DH, but I was trying to do it without a full understanding of it myself, so I'm off that way next to read about it so I can better explain it tonight. I love it when the lightbulb comes on. http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b149/kacielyse/Smilies/idea.gif
