As I was unloading the dishwasher, I went to grab some silverware, and I got the tine of a fork stabbed underneath my nail. It went halfway down under the nail. Besides hurting like the dickens all day long yesterday and still today, I'm a little worried about infection. I put some peroxide on it, but I don't know if any of it got down there at all to do any good.
It was a stainless steel knife fresh from a washed dishwasher, but I can't quite tell if there is some pus starting to develop under the nail now. I see some red from the blood that was there, but also some whitish stuff next to it.
Anybody know what I can do if it starts to become infected?
