Where to get affordable sewing machine

I NEED a machine that is not very expensive. I thought of even going used. Any advice?

Try calling some local repair shops. Sometimes they have machines for sale that were never picked up (that's how I got my serger :tu) Also you can usually fine a decent machine at Walmart or a local fabric/craft shop like JoAnn's, Hancock fabric, or Denver fabric. Check out your phone book under "sewing machine". Sometimes you can even find some for sale in the local paper. :grin
