Will it make kids drowsy? Can I take it while nursing? I received my order in the mail and gave half a dose to my oldest to see how it affects him since we've got no plans today. I know it can be used to help them sleep at night but it says it promotes normal activity.

I don't know if you can use it while nursing, but it can make you drowsy. We have used it for our ds on the nights when he is having trouble sleeping, but it doesn't seem to make him sleepy :shrug

I use it on my 8wk old when he's overly fussy and NOTHING will calm him. Seems to work. I think it depends on how tired he is if it makes him drowsy or not. Somtimes it knocks him out, sometimes it just calms the fussies.

You could try Rescue Remedy - that will work without making child drowsy. Rescue Remedy is safe for pregnancy, BF, or for child/baby.

Well I never experienced knocking my kids out of that is what you are asking. I think it is safe while nursing but check www.kellymom.com and see.
