View Full Version : Do vegetarions use chicken bullion??

I was looking for recipes for Navy Bean Soup today & came across one claiming to be 'vegetarian', but it used chicken bullion??? It struck me as odd, so I thought I'd ask here.
I often toy w/ the idea of going vegetarian, but DH definitely wouldn't go for it. :no

That would be chicken flavored but with no chicken in it. Check the labels when you buy. They have vegi versions and not vegi versions. :grin

I would think that they wouldn't. Knorr actually makes a vegetable bouillion cube that I use.

No. I have seen chicken *flavored*, but a true vegetarian recipe would not call for chicken anything. :P

yeah, there are chicken flavored things or veggie boullion, which, might i add, is really really delicious. :grin
