DD has recently taken a liking to eating a handful of frozen peas or something while I'm making dinner. It really helps keep her "entertained" while I'm cooking, so I was clueless when someone mentioned to me that they heard frozen veggies may not be safe to eat b/c of bacteria on them?

Anyone heard this/have links for me on this? I'm curious if this is true and if it is so, how is the bacteria killed and made safer during the cooking process?

Thanks!

I hope they're alright! We've been letting B eat them for *months*

She loves frozen peas and frozen french fries.
Hasn't gotten sick from them yet.....

I have 2 dc and both ate/eat frozen veggies. I found it really helpful for teething days!

As long as they haven't come in contact with any raw meat, you're all set. :tu

My mom used to have to wait until the oven was all-the-way preheated before she put frozen french fries on the baking sheet, because if she put them on earlier than that, by the time she put them in the oven I'd have eaten half of them... :shifty

My mom got my kids started with the peas. They will get a bowl of peas to watch a movie. But, they won't eat cooked peas at all.
