What are the good ones to buy and how is each best used? For example, I know certain oils are not good for heating because it changes them. This is one area I'd like to improve in my families diet, but I need some help! Also, what is the scoop on canola oil? I thought it was suposed to be good for you, but I just read a very strong article saying we should not use it. Any body hear this?

I want to know, too! I'm pretty sure the different olive oils are good choices. I've been using Smart Balance oil for baking, and it has canola in it...

olive oils are good up to a certain temp...but..Rebecca is supposed to tell me how high...lol

coconut oil is an excellant alternative. Extra Virgin (cold pressed or expeller the best)

Does coconut oil taste very much like coconut?
