How to start digital scrapbooking?

I've been wanting to make a digital scrapbook for a long time, but just don't know how to start! I got Adobe Photoshop Elements from my brother for Christmas, but am a bit too overwhelmed to really look through it. Where do you start?

Are there any free scrapbook templates out there? Can you make your own templates? Easily? Anyone know of any introductory websites about it?

the search wasnt working for me either ;) i just went really far back looking for some........maybe go back to like page 9 and their might be more? i know there was one huge thread of just digital stuff? :shrug

I love digital scrapbooking :tu I found out about it and learned everything I know at a website called Scrapbook-Bytes (www.scrapbook-bytes.com) There are other sites/groups out there with lots of info and support but that is the one I personally found to be an amazing wealth of info and free resources and great community.

I use Paint Shop Pro so can't be of any help with the specifics of your program but if you have any other questions let me know and I'll try to give some input.

Another great website that is smaller but easy to navigate is www.rakscraps.com. They are very supportive and encouraging there, and also give out freebies! :tu

I haven't scrapped much since I got pregnant because I burned myself out on it when I started initially (I did like 5-7 layouts a week!) but I'll probably get into it again. I use Photoshop Elements. I think there are also inexpense "scrapbooking" software programs you can buy, though I can't recall their names immediately.
