I think it's :laughtears and not really any grosser than using wool :shrug . I don't have any dogs with undercoats anymore... lol... or I'd be tempted. I can imagine those mittens are incredibly warm.

I must really love my dog, because I would totally do it! As much as he sheds (he is a BC) I bet I could get a couple of sweaters to match.

I've always joked with DH that I could make him a pillow.
This is much more interesting, though!

i saw one site that a girl spun her own yarn out of her cats hairballs. It looked so silky and shinny. :lol
i would use dog yarn if i was not so alergic.

I'm in a knitting group and the ladies in there have no kids and lots of pets, so their pets are their kids. They are working on saving the hair from the vacuum cleaners :sick and spinning it into wool to make doggie sweaters. At least they aren't wearing it though.

Of course, those same ladies complain about the other knitting group in town because people are always making stuff for their babies :hunh

eeeeewwwwww :giggle I can't come up with a good reason why that weirds me out..but it does :P~ Kinda like saving your own hair from a hairbrush and knitting a hat with it :laughtears
They're kinda pretty though.

:laughtears Is it for THIER dogs to wear? :laughtears A sweater made from their own dog's hair? :laughtears Does he have it on? I don't know, I can never tell... :laughtears

Ok, I think I'm ok now... :giggle
