I grumble about them, stress over them, and obsess about their problems, and I sometimes forget to focus on the good. So here's my short list of things I love about my dc...

:heart Ds9
I love the way he's gentle and responsible with his little sister.
I love the way he smiles when he talks.
I love that he loves to read, learn, and draw (really well!) about the things he's interested in.
I love how he's fair and expects others to be fair, too.

:heart Ds7
I love that he makes us laugh.
I love the way he entertains his little sister.
I love that he has fun, whatever he's doing.
I love the way he sings (really well!) and makes up songs.

:heart Dd21mo
I love the way she takes my finger to lead me and show me something.
I love that she wants every member of the family to kiss her boo-boos.
I love the way she says my name.
I love that she sings herself to sleep (hums, really) while she nurses.
I love that she loves me so much.

Care to join me? :heart

Sure, ofcource!!

I'm wild bout my kids!
I whine bout my dh much more than them lol.

Lidia age 5
I looove how she reminds me so much of me
I love her drawings
How much she loves to be read to
Her imagination
Her abundant kindness
That she loves to help
That she LOVES her sister and her sister knows it, they are VERY close
I love that every adult and teacher that has been round her loves her too
I love that she is so obedient and trustworthy and a true testament to how well non-spanking GBDing can still produce a very behaved easy child!! :ptl
I love LOVE her love for Christ already. And her willingness and openess to pray with me. Melts my heart.
I could go on and on.....

Bethany age almost 2
Well I love every inch of her.
I love her sence of humor
Her love to pretend already.
Her "girlyness" at loving to dress up, and AP her dolls lol etc
I love her boldness and bravery...no fear at all!
I love every moment she wants to be held or sit in my lap, I cling to those monents as I know a new baby is coming.
She makes us laugh SO much everyday!
I love that she is so much like daddy and they just adore eachother.
I love coming in to her when she wakes up and her face lights up in amazement that her quiet stirrings told me she was awake, she gives me this "How did you know I was awake, mommy" kinda look lol. :giggle
I love how easy she too has been. So easy to GBD and AP from the start.

I love my girls so much it scares me.
I never thought I'd be so blessed and they'd make motherhood so easy and wonderfull.
If I knew I could have kids like them I'd have 20 more!

I love how they are both such extroverts, because I am an extreme introvert. I have learned sooooo much from them! I've really opened up to people a lot more because I've seen how it affects people when my kids open up to them.

Case in point: Last Christmas Zach (then 6) and I went to Chicago with my parents to see my brother in A Christmas Carol. We were walking pretty quickly to get to the play and came up behind an elderly woman shuffling along. I blew right past her, but Zach kind of half turned and said, "Hi, Merry Christmas!" She called out, "Young man, come here," and she said, "That was just so nice of you," and gave him a dollar! It really made her day just to have someone *notice* her. (Zach used the dollar to buy a cookie at the theater. :giggle)

My kids have run up to elderly people in the mall and given them hugs. I've seen people with tears in their eyes because of it. Of course, I've gently and gradually taught my kids that it's not really appropriate to do that, but it really taught me a lesson about how much it means to people just to be noticed.

And Zach has such a kind heart. The other morning we had snow, and he got up, looked out the window, and said, "I think I'll go shovel Mrs. R's driveway." Mrs. R lives across the street and just had back surgery recently. Her husband passed away last year. I was so proud of him, because he didn't need any prompting, just saw a need and went right to work filling it.
