need a good resource for bulk craft items

I need to find a place where I can order craft supplies, such as: slates of different sizes/shapes for painting on, those large jumbo rustic jingle bells, wodden letters (actually I think I saw those at Michael's last week.)

I need them to be unfinished, because I'm hoping to paint them for Christmas gifts and such.

Problem is, it will be SO expensive to have the slates shipped. So I'm hoping to find something that either goes through a retail store (like Garden Ridge or Hobby Lobby, etc.) or would have really low shipping.

Any ideas?

Mom and I are planning a day trip to the Garden Ridge in Greenville, so maybe I'll find something there. (oh, and can't forget Macaroni Grill...tee hee hee!)

Anyway, please share websites/companies/stores if you know of any!

I am not sure what you need, but maybe Oriental Trading Company?
I know I have browsed their catalogs but never order supplies because it seems I have to get so many of each item, and I only need them for my own children. They have lots of craft stuff.
