With my ds, I carried him all the time (this was before I knew about AP and slings) but I carried him in a Baby Bjorn 'cause I didn't know about slings! It worked ok but I am now pregnant with #2 and I want a sling or two for this baby. SO, what's your favorite? Why? Where can I buy it? I have until April to decide!!! :grin

Try http://www.mobywrap.com/ for the moby wraps. :-)

My favorite is a rebozo, but it took some learning to figure out how to work it. Now, I can't imagine anything quicker or easier. Part of my love, though, is because it's a long standing family tradition on DH's side. Both of my kids have been slung in their grandma's rebozo and DS has even been slung in his great-grandma's. :hearts DH was slung in a rebozo. MIL and FIL were slung in rebozos. It'd be awful hard to sway my loyalties to a different sling. :giggle

My maya, but it's the only one I own, and I like it better than the substitute bedsheets I've tied on instead =D

I have the Maya Wrap and love it. Its works from newborn to toddlerhood. :)

I had the snugli and bjorn before this and dd hated them both. I sold one gave the other away(I bought both used at resale shops) and splurged the $45 on the sling. :) I got mine at a breastfeeding supply store owned by a lacation consultant.

I tried on other kinds but this was most comfortable to me. :)

I wouldn't swap my *favorite* wrap! It's 5m of orange, white and red stripey cottoney fabric from our local market and I am in love with it!

I think I may be getting a little bit addicted to making my own slings and wraps... Ah well at least I've been able to give some of my new creations away. I love slinging my tot and I can't wait to be able to try it with a newborn; I didn't know about babywearing when Jenna was tiny so I had to just carry her.

For smaller babies, I love love love the NewNative pouch. I started wearing ds in it when he was 2 weeks old and used it up until he was about 10 months, then switched to the Maya wrap, then a couple of months later switched to a Mei Hip. So favorite for tiny is NewNative. :)

Mine is the Kozy from http://www.kozycarrier.homestead.com. Yes it has a wait list because its that good. It is the workhorse of all the carriers I have tried (right now I have 50+ carriers in my house).

I like ring slings with tails for discreet bfing. I have always loved my Maya wrap because it is so versatile. But I recently got one from a WAHM that I LOVE! The colors are beautiful, it's well-made, and it's very lightweight. Fits in the diaperbag much easier than my Maya, nice for summer. It is also quite a bit cheaper than most other slings I've found ($25). http://www.daisybabyslings.com/

One I made from a Maya Wrap pattern... I was able to make it so that the "tail" didn't feel like it was a mile long!

I have a ring sling that I got from a site called Moms In Mind - http://www.momsinmind.com.sg/sarongslings/html I got it for about $20 (converted from Singapore dollars) and I LOVE it! I also have an Ella Roo wrap which I love too, but the sling is much more convenient and easier to use. I reserve the Ella Roo for when I know I'll be carrying for a long period of time or for carrying my toddler on my back - mostly because I'm not all that experienced with it yet so it still takes me a while to get it on.
