I'm five months pregnant, and I have a 19 month old DS whom I've really enjoyed slinging (I have a KK cotton pouch) but I'm now getting a bit too big to comfortable fit him even on my hip. I can't seem to get him on my back comfortably, as it hurts my chest. Is there an alternative, perhaps a carrier that's easier on expecting mamas?
I imagine that we look quite a sight, me slinging my son over my poochy belly, with two others in tow, lol.

I used my homemade Maya wrap until I was about 8 mos pg. Hip carry. Kinda off to the side of my back. Slinging him on my back just wasn't comfortable for me--but then he was 33 lbs or so. I'd put him just behind my arm on my hip sometimes when I didn't want him grabbing things or something. Got a lot of looks and comments but it was much easier than chasing him around, lol.

I still get looks and comments now, with baby dd in the sling and my 2 yo and 4 yo "in tow". :)

I think a wrap is great for use during pregnancy. Here is me today, at 34 weeks with my 20modd in the rucksack carry.

I also love the MT for pregnancy. Really, any carrier that lets you put your toddler on your back and ties under your belly should work well. :)

Incidentally, here is me slinging...STILL!!

I should have mentioned this before, but Kelly (Kelli?) the owner/founder of Kozy carriers is a lovely, Christian, ap WAHM and very worth supporting. :tu

:) Awwww, thanks. :heart Interestingly, an extremely AP friend of mine said to me a couple of Sundays ago at church, "You need to let [dd] walk more and set some more limits on her nursing before the baby comes." I had a HUGE laugh because I have never heard HER say something like this before. Coming from her, it was very funny...I know that she is right and she is thinking of my little dd who will end up very shocked when the new baby arrives and I can't keep nursing and slinging her to the extent that I was doing. Since her comment, I have decided to come out of denial about our new baby and try not to sling/nurse quite so much. Dd has been a little less than impressed, but I do think it is the right thing to do. Poor little dd. :heart
