Gross Gross Gross!!!!

My dog usually gets allergies...hot spots on her belly. She gets it every summer...and I just apply this ointment and she is better. But today I noticed alot of scaly skin on her back...I took her out and brushed her. Most of her hair in that area came out as well as a snowfall of skin. :sick Im so grossed out and dont know what it is! Could it be flea allergic dermatitis?? Im not seeing any fleas....but that area has black spots, but they dont really look like flea dirt. They are bigger and attached near the hair follicle...so it could be from her biting herself. Im freaked out that she has scabies or something. Plus she completely REEKS!! I cant get her to the vet till Monday. I have her on the deck right now...but of course she is barking to get in the house. I have a party tomorrow with lots of children coming. I dont think parents will be too keen on their dc petting her...im not keen on my dc petting her right now. I could crate her, but she will bark...if I put her in a room she will freak out.

It sounds very much like mange. I would get her to the vet quickly. My dog had patches of that when we got him from the pound. It almost looked like a scab. It's gross!

My dog and cat get this and it is flea bite dermatitis and I don't ever see fleas either, but they get it. I gave the dog a bath with Betadine and it helped a whole lot, especially the smell.
