DVD Camcorder?

Does anyone have a DVD Camcorder that they reccomend? My dh and I decided that we are going to buy one for a joint present for our anniversary! :dance We have been wanting to get one for a really long time, but we are finally going to actually do it! We can't spend too much and I want it to be easy to use. Any suggestions?

Check out cnet. (www.cnet.com (http://www.cnet.com)) We bought a new camcorder a few months ago. I really wanted the DVD kind, but after DH did the research, he wasn't convinced they are worth the money right now. The issue is that the technology isn't mature. We bought a Canon Optura 40 and love it. (It digitally records to video tape.) If you want to put your home movies on DVD, you should look into DVD burners. They are actually reasonably-priced, but again, I would suggest cnet for researching them first.
