I've heard Crystal say that her oldest was "born to be five." That at that age he kind of settled into himself. My MIL has said something similar about my DH.

What about your kids? I'm curious about this. . . .

My son is soon to be 5, and I see him settling into himself and he is definitely not a baby anymore. He is my oldest....my other one is 3 and my other one is 16 mo.

When ds was 2 1/2, he *longed* to be 5!! He thought that 5 would be the magic age where he was old enough to do fun stuff. I remember one frustrating moment - he was with his cousins and couldn't do something that they could. He cried with great conviction, "I need to be 5!! I just need to be 5!"

Here's hoping that 4 is easier than 3, and then that 5 really is his magic age!
