Well, it only took a few days, and I'm pretty proud! Next time I'll do it a little different, but it still turned out better than I expected!

That's a great purse! :tu :clap If you can turn one out in just a few days, you should consider selling them. And they'd make great gifts, too. :-)

That's beautiful! :tu Where'd you get the pattern?

Thanks! I thought about selling them. It looks like similar ones go for close to $50 online, and it was really easy to make up.

Lisa - I just made my own pattern as I went. I knit it in the round on size 10s (29") and cast on about 100 stitches. I just kept knitting until it was deep enough (around 10" or so) and then sewed the bottom shut. I bought the lining and sewed it in and then kind of whipped the handles on.

Did that make any sense at all? LOL. I loosely based it off of the "charm" purse in the Stitch N ***** book.

good for you! I haven't knitted on circular needles yet. When I get to that I'll give it a try!

This was my first try on circular needles too :grin

Your purse is really cute! I love the yarn you used.
I have thought about trying to make a purse/bag, maybe felted? Has anyone ever felted after they knitted a bag? I was hoping to make something like yours for carrying my knitting project around in. A friend pointed out that the needles would slip through the holes unless it was felted. :rolleyes

I'm impressed you just made it up with no pattern! Can't imagine that at my level yet...I am about to try circular needles to finish up the sweater I'm making for my dd. The neck is done on circular needles.

Great job! :tu

Well, all of the ladies in my knitting club suggested that I felt it, so I'm going to felt my next one. It seems easy enough (famous last words) :shrug
