...you know, the kind that hold mama's scent that I can lay with her while she sleeps so she feels I am by her?

Anyone have a site that tells me how?

What type fabric should I use? What kind would "hold" my scent? Any fabric?

Would a hanky-sized silk with wool scrap stuffing in the head and knotted "hands" work?

I want it to be cute, too, not just functional, lol.

I realize I can just lay a spit-rag or a t-shirt by her...but a doll would be a lot cuter, doncha think?

I have one of those patterns, but it's upstairs and I'm :nak right now.

I think it's made out of a babysock or something. :think

I'll get it though.

Oh, what a great idea!

I'd love to make something like that.

Found it! I was getting worried. . . .

Materials:
Toddler's 24-36mo size tube sock
Hypoallergenic fiberfill
1/4" inch ribbon
Nontoxic permanent fabric markers in red and black
Yarn or crochet thread
White thread and needle

Instructions:
Stuff sock to where the pattern of the knitting changes. Stuff until it measures about 8" around and 8" long.
Tie open end of sock securely with yarn or crochet thread.
Tie ribbon about three inches down to form head and neck and tie securely. Tie ribbon into bow.
Fold cuff down to form a bonnet and turn a small 'cuff' curving the face and covering the 'ears' and 'neck' to make the bonnet.
Sew down bonnet (with the white thread).
Sew bow to sock using matching thread.
Using fabric markers, draw eyes and mouth. They have little eye lashes for the eyes like the baby's sleeping.

Hope that's what you wanted! :hug
