Hand painted yarn with Kool Aid!!!

I'm so excited, I wanted to share. I just learned to knit about a week ago, and am going to attempt to knit a wool soaker... I thought I'd try dyeing my own yarn too, and this is the result... I used lemonade, strawberry, orange, and pink lemonade. :tu I can't believe I did it! Isn't it "KOOL"??? :mrgreen

I've done that too, it's lots of fun! It does fade a bit after washing (I felt almost everything I knit lol) Looks great!

Perty! :clap I have several koolaid dyed soakers from woolywonders.com (now I have the pattern and I'll make my own once I have a diapered babe again) and I didn't notice much fading at all. I think you can set the color with vinegar, right?

I'm half done with the soaker now... My oldest dd says the colors are like that popsicle called a "Big Stick"... We actually have some in the freezer right now!! LOL.... :giggle
