I know there are some nifty new features to the 3.0 version of Elements. But if you had to choose 2.0 NOW or to wait for an indefinite amount of time to get 3.0, what would you do?

I am needing to edit and print pictures for Kate's traditional scrapbook, so... it would be nice to have better editing capabilities. I tried and tried to get the Gimp (a free program that some people rave about) to work but I think it hates windows or something. The exif info on all my photos (the info the camera exports with the picture with the date, time, etc.) makes it crash.

I have 2.0 and I think it is decent. You can get it really cheap on ebay too. Right now there is a 25 dollar BIN on ebay. I'd get 2.0 and if you don't like it, you didn't lose much kwim?

Get 2.0 & put 3.0 on your wish list. :) 2.0 is still a great program! :tu

I use 2.0 and like it lots.
I say buy it off Ebay (just make sure it's new, unregistered, in package).
You'll get it very cheaply.
And, when you do upgrade to 3.0, if you've registered 2.0 - you'll save enough off the cost of the upgrade to justify already buying 2.0 :tu
