I was sewing and my needle stopped going up and down. I can't even move it with the dial on the side. What's wrong with my machine? I just have one teeny corner to reinforce to finish the sling I was making and it won't work! :banghead

I assume you've checked and no threads are caught? :shrug

When that happens to me, it's usually that the bobbin thread is jammed up. Cut the thread and the needle should be able to raise and then you can take the bobbin out. It could be the motor though.

I'm an idiot! The bobbin winder on the top had gotten bumped :giggle

HAHAHA!!! I'm glad it was something simple! It reminds me of the time that someone had come over to use my sewing machine and I was threading it and it wouldn't work. I must have threaded it 8 times and it wouldn't work. Turns out I had forgotten to put the presser foot up before I threaded. I felt so dumb!
