Anyone roast veggies dogs while camping? I'm curious if it's any good and if there is a better brand to choose. We love the tofurkey sausages and I was thinking those might be really good over the fire.

I haven't tried the tofurkey, though I'd think they wouldn't work well just because the other tofurkey products are a bit rubbery.

We've roasted the vibrant life vegan dogs and they work very well that way. :tu

You've got to try the sausages girl! I like to cut ours up and then I saute them in a pan. Then I add canned artichokes and leftover whole wheat spaghetti. When that is heated through I add some tofutti cream cheese. Sprinkle a little spike on top and your good to go!

how spicy are they? I WANT to get them, but don't want to waste money on them if they're too spicy for the kids. :/

We haven't found any veggie dogs we really like. Morningstar Farms were *tolerable* at best, but they're not vegan (I think they have egg whites in them, if memory serves).

Boca smoked sausage is pretty good grilled, though.

We get the Italian tofurkey ones and they aren't spicy at all.
