Too Late to Plant??

Do you think it is too late for me to plant a few annuals? Maybe a tomato plant or two?
Lat year I planted late, but I do not think it was this late.
I am in Illinois.

Naww. Give it a go!! I would anyway :) We planted in mid-June our first year and had a great crop in the fall. (That was in VT)

I am glad you asked because we are about to move to a place where I might be able to plant some things. I am so excited! Our first home. By the way we have a shady porch. Not sure how much sun it gets if any. Are there any flower baskets that I can hang from it that do well in the shade or need very little sun?
