Homemade tater tots?

i wonder if one could make such things? my family loves them, but they usually have gluten in them :shifty do you think?

I've made some potato pancakes that taste a little like them. I don't really have a recipe, but basically you grate potatoes, mix in an egg to make it stick together and fry it in oil. Maybe see if that satisfies the craving?

okay thats a good idea... maybe try to make them in little balls or something? hmmm
I wonder if you could bake them?

That's what I was thinking. When I made them, I just dropped spoonfuls on a pan to fry and it sort of spread out, but I think you could make it really thick and make balls? The taste was a lot like TT, so I think it's the way to start. Maybe thicken w/ rice flour or something so it'd make balls? :think
