no-scratch spray

My one cat is scratching up a patch in the carpet. Who knows why- she has a scratching post that gets plenty of use. :shrug I bought Hartz Stay Off training spray at the grocery store, but it doesn't seem to work. Has anybody found a spray that is really effective?

She could have a problem or she could just be a cat. Have you tried a water gun yet? It works great.

Yeah, I need to keep the sprayer close to that door. But I keep thinking that something must smell weird there.

have you tried putting a scratching post in that spot, and redirecting her to the post. you can get a small cheep one for around 20 or you can go all out.. they have big houses for a couple hundred.
