Hi all!
I have a wonderful 3 month old son named Israel---the other thing is he is almost 20lbs or over. I have Maya Wrap sling---and it's hurting my shoulders and back. Is there any other type of carriers that offer more support so I can carry my little guy a little while longer. Also if it gets to a point where I cannot carry him is there another way I can get the same attachment affect if I don't carry him?

Check out arwen's site at http://www.cuddlencarry.com (http://www.cuddlencarry.com) . I made a carrier similar to that myself. I haven't used it yet, but they do go over both shoulders, so that might help distribute the weight better.

HTH! :grin

Another option would be a wrap, such as the Ellaroo Wrap (https://www.naturalfamilyboutique.com/shop/Products/5090.aspx?maryc). It offers lots of flexibility for positions, but uses both shoulders and holds baby in closer to your center of gravity. They are pricey, but beautiful.

Yhe Ellaroo is great, you can make your own, if you would like, I bought stretchy fabric at Walmart for 2.50.

I really love my Ergo, but I only like it on the front. It just doesn't work too good for us as a "backpack."

Nelly from http://attachedtot.com/ makes mei tais that distribute the weight over both shoulders and can be worn on the front or back. Melynda from http://www.mom-designs.com/ makes a really great gauze wrap that can distribute the weight over both shoulders as well.
