Chandler and I can both cast on now! Woo hoo!! I got it from the book, but the video made it even more clear! (Thanks again, Dawn!) Chandler watched the video twice, so when I got a chance to sit down with her, she understood a little bit. It didn't take long for her to catch on. (literally, maybe 7-8 minutes) She got it, and I had to leave the room to change Truman. She came in a few minutes later with 20 cast-ons. She said she had messed up and started all over. . . all over! all by herself in her room! :dance
She's ready for more. I need to read the book again and watch a video on the basic knit stitch. We'll work again tomorrow, but I had to post pics of Chandler. I was holding Truman <sleeping>, else I would have posted me and mine too. Here she is:

She's 7, btw.

Aren't those great for her very first 20 cast-ons???
