Another silly wool question

So I now have an aristocrat wool cover. The silly question is, do I use it right over the diaper or over the diaper and cover? I'm hoping to use it for overnights, when we aren't waking and changing so often. Also, do I need to lanolize it first?

if it didn't come lanolized, I would do it. Lanolizing about every 3 weeks will keep it working better. And the wool IS the diaper cover :grin

I hear they work great in overnight combos (by combo I mean, the overnight dipe and cover), I've never actually tried that brand myself. We use only wool for night covers.

It's not a silly question! It's hard to imagine that a cloth cover can be water proof. However, wool covers are water proof when lanolized, you don't need another cover underneath!

Please be careful when you lanolize it. I have seen too many Moms ruin brand new covers because they didn't know how to do it properly.
