My Dh has a bone infection. It started in his knee as the result of some pieces of metal left in after knee surgery. He had 6 wks of intravenous antibiotic treatment which helped a little. His dr. told him to come back in 6 months and he'd check on it. Well, Dh waited over a year to go back to the dr., and it has now spread up to his hip and down to his ankle. :( He will soon be undergoing more intravenous antibiotics, and his new dr. says they'll keep it up until it's gone, if it responds like it should. I don't like to think about what could happen if it doesn't respond.

Anyway, I'm wondering if you know of anything we should be doing to help his body fight this infection. I figure he should be getting enough sleep, some excercise, good food...Do you know of anything specific that might help? TIA!

Later: Sorry, I wrote Dd but meant Dh!! :doh

I would suggest lots of Vit C and acidophilus (probitocs) would be highly benefical.

:hugs & :pray for your little one.
