burning rice! :sa

Why can't I cook a pan of rice w/o burning it lately?

Could it be that I am trying to do too much at once, like today I am cooking two meals at once to try and get extra meals for after baby?

Oh well...better luck next time.

:hug Maybe a rice cooker would help? I've seen them pretty cheap (as in less than $10).

I cook my rice in the microwave. It's perfect every time, if I do say so myself. ;)

I can't cook rice in a pan to save my life either. :rolleyes :lol I've even burned it using those little "foolproof" rice-in-a-bag things. Rice cooker is the only way to go imho.

That's b/c it goes from not done to overdone in the blink of an eye. If I had room for another appliance, I might consider a rice cooker.

Rice cooker!!!
I can cook rice very well on the stove but I refuse to do that anymore since a friend blessed me with a rice cooker.
One of the tricks of cooking rice on the stove for me is being there to turn it down at the right time. That is hard to do when you are doing tons of other things.

I was going to suggest the rice in a bag, but Sally took that away from me :P
I always burn rice on the stove, but never with the rice in a bag. :smile

I usually cook rice in a pan okay. I burnt it in the microwave once because I forgot to put any water in the dish with the rice. :shrug
