Slow and steady question

I have this book, but haven't ever used it with my son yet. He's two, almost three. Is it too late to start him? I'm afraid, since he's halfway through the book age-wise, that he'll be frustrated. Do the lessons build on each other, or can we start in the middle with no problems? Thanks!

You can start in the middle without any problem. I used it off and on with ds -- not consistently at all.

Thank you so much! Right now, there are days he will sit still, but most days he won't. :P He's gotten very "into" books lately, so I want to capitalize on that!
