I have an neurotic dog. We are moving and I called the vet to get some Acepromazine for her to give to her when we leave the house. Just short term. I used to work at this vet office and the Drs know Z very well. The receptionist was VERY rude to me on the phone and said she isnt sure that Z can have any. :rolleyes Anyway...she is a couple months overdue for a visit...but we cant do it right now. I need something to settle my dog down...she has BAD seperation anxiety...and she will be adjusting to a new house. Any suggestions???

Do you have any Bach's Rescue Remedy? That may help...

Try melatonin - we give one pill to a pomeranian (8 lbs) at bedtime.

Our trainers recommended a remendy called 'calm stress' for our dogs when we had a fighting problem (for after the incident).

I second the Rescue Remedy - I've known lots of people who deal with rescues to use it with great success!
