Met another babywearer yesterday

Though she didn't have her baby at the time.
I was browsing in a bookshop, carrying my ds in the sling. The shop assistant smiled at me and told me about how she carries her 10-month old son on her back the African way, with a piece of cloth knotted in front. Anyone else tried this? I tried it when I got home but I couldn't get ds on my back very easily by myself.

you have to have a pretty high pain tollerance across your chest! I would say go for a wrap instead.

I can't do the torso carries with the knots either. Too painful. :doh Even though they are easier to get dd on my back with.
