Help!
I just converted from electric coil burners to gas.
I've always made the perfect popcorn on my electric coils by putting a little oil in a small saucepan, added yellow unpopped corn, placed the lid on top, and gently shaken it for about 10 minutes until it all popped. I dumped it into a bowl, seasoned it accordingly, and it was virtually perfect.
Now I have a gas range and everything is different. I tried my same method with the same pot although I eliminated the shaking as I didn't want to ruin the surfaces of my new burners. I got way drier results with a bit of burning -- defnitely not my best work. Anyone got a good way to prepare popcorn on a gas stovetop?
Help -- I'm desperate! My popcorn was one of the reasons DH married me almost 10 years ago!
Thanks!
